Civil Engineering Department

Academic Advisors

All Civil Engineering faculty advise undergraduate students. When a student is admitted into the Department, the student is assigned an advisor, given a flowsheet, and a Civil Engineering Record. The Record indicates all requirements for the degree and the flowsheet indicates the pre- and co-requisite courses, the order courses should be taken, and the semesters in which some courses are only offered.

Scheduling Classes

Students schedule their classes online. A master Civil Engineering Record is maintained by the department, showing the status of completion of the program of study. Two flowsheets are available, one for a four-year degree and a second for the five-year co-op program providing a full year of engineering co-op experience. The student should follow these flowsheets as closely as possible. The Civil Engineering Record lists courses that can satisfy the Technical Elective course requirements.
